The westernised town of Tanzania..

One will be amazed by the lifestyle of these only westernised town in Tanzania,it has it own way completely different from other towns like Dar es salaam,Mwanza,Mbeya and others,Arusha as it well known as A-town by locals has transformed itself from a local hub into international centre, for a long period of time A-town has stand as a transit corridor for tour safari's playing the great northern circuit tourism region of Tanzania.strategical these town is around 70km north west of the famous mountain Kilimanjaro and 30km from the new established Kilimanjaro International Airport, mountain Meru stands within the town outskirts like a fortress shielding the town on the immediately south east part, these mountain can be viewed at any angle of the town.
As a transit corridor for safari's and local people these has made the town to be busy with a lot of hospitality services, there more than forty hotels around Arusha and many local guest houses and lodges within the town, any one transit in these beautiful tropical town with come across some of these hotels a long the town streets and these make it easier for one to check in and drive in for those offer drive in services.
There nice places to check in around and on the outskirts of the town,Greenland lodge is one of my favourite when in Arusha as i found it clean with nice hospitality, situated right after river duruma bridge few metres drive on the right corner lane,it has normals rates for both locals and international travellers.
The night life of A-night is similar like any other tourist destination, there quite a number of night clubs playing modern western songs, local swahili music and live bands, one will never get bored, there too restaurants mostly saving local foods and drinks.for most of transit people always tend to over stay and explore the culture of these town which is much different from the rest of Tanzania.
These town also host the headquarter of the East Africa Community which comprise of Tanzania,Uganda,Kenya,Rwanda,Burundi and South Sudan, these has made Arusha to be a centre of governments activities and a destination of conference tourism these is a part from it been a transit for tourist visiting near by game parks like ngorongoro, serengeti,mt meru and kilimanjaro national park.
Within the town locality there is a museum just beside the freedom monument, the museum host some historical tools used during the human revolution and items from the inhabitant communities mostly maasai, also there is a reptile park known as snake park is always open and it is one of place of interesting within these city.for backpackers too there is a centre and for mountain hiking mt meru provide the best site for hiking and for those loving cultural dancing the university of makumira some few kilometres on Arusha-Moshi highway provides the best entertainments ever with there dancing troops just next to the university grounds, guest are entertain in local Tanzania traditional dance ranging from coastal traditional songs to mainland ones.A-town as local known is a place worth to explore...
