"The Old Town of Mombasa Island"

   As a prime centre of early trade activities,urbanisation and modern east Africa
civilisation a long the east coast of eastern Africa Old Town or Kibokoni as well known by the locals residence stands as a top most attractive destination not to be missed when one visiting East Africa.
   With a long history, old building architect and a deep Swahili culture amongst it's inhabitants these part of greater Mombasa urban has a lot to offer to visitor who want to explore the Swahili culture and early sultanate history of east Africa coastal along the Indian ocean,there old building and narrow streets which still stands to date.
                                                                           
Within the township there also some important place of attraction like the old harbour which is still operating,some boats still using these harbour to transport goods and people to neighbour countries and towns along the coastal strip,the port is located close to the channel entrance overlooking the mainland north.one can easily access it right from the narrow streets of old town.
These harbour has saved the entire east Africa region and the islands on Indian ocean waters.Another interesting place is the market shopping centre where spices are the most traded commodity,the market known as Macknon market is one of the oldest market centre in east and central Africa,it's always busy from morning to evening hours.
On some of the streets of old town there some curios shops whereby a visitor can buy some souvenir of different Africa sculpture,clothing and other items,most of items prices are not fixed are negotiable thus makes it affordable.
Besides the Old Town on the south east side stands the famous Fort Jesus museum,these fort can be easily accessed right from the Old town as it's only a walking distance from some of the streets,many visitors touring the Fort will also tour the Old Town and the Old harbour as there in the same locality,all are world heritage sites and protected by the state,visitors can simple visit these area in any day of the week,international visitors can fly direct to Mombasa International Airport,have accommodation within the island and visit Old Town and explore it's historical magic with Swahili culture.

The quite sunny town of Tanga

 On the northeast of Tanzania close to the neighbour country of Kenya a quite sunny town of Tanga stands,here the weather is warm with temperature ranging from 27-35degres almost through out the year.it's one of well organised town in Tanzania with well naming of streets,housing and market centre's.
                                                                           
The most pride of these town it's unique architect,with a rich history dating back from slave trade and harbour activities along the Indian ocean waters.Firstly was established as a military town and was one of the main world wars centres of fighting between German East Africa and then British East Africa,these did not affect these historical town,most of it's monuments still standing and together with building architect.Second Tanga has maintained its local attraction withing and in it's surrounding like the famous Amboni caves  Some few kilometres from the town,the graves from the late prominent early rulers of these town.Thirdly as a regional headquarter it has manage to reclaim its administrative status,as a harbour town on the shore of Indian ocean these has maintain the lifestyle of its inhabitants who mostly survive through farming and fishing.
As a Swahili culture centre one visiting Tanga will always come a cross women wearing veils and men put on Kanzu,a common cloth used by Swahili men a long the East Africa Coast,there few market place like Ngamiani market located in town centre where local traders deals with varieties of goods from fruits,vegetables and other items,Mgandini is another market located down Taifa road where its famous for agriculture products,also there is another craft market in market area,here is where traders deals with souvenir's.
Close to the Tanga Museum there is a fish market mostly with locals dealing with fresh catch,as a town a long the ocean there to a yatch club and some hotels close to the water front.
A long the beach line there is Tanga Resort which offers accommodation and out door activities including kayaking,Mkonge Hotel is too one of the town prestigious hotel together with Nyinda Hotels,there several lodges which makes these town affordable to different class of people,here the nightlife is fantastic with lot of local cuisines provided during the late night a long some streets,whats real makes these the best place it's free crime life style,people respect each other,it easy to access Tanga through Dar es salaam main airport one can fly to Tanga airport or when coming via Kenya south coast side via lungalunga/hororo boarder crossing.

The westernised town of Tanzania..

                                                                           
  One will be amazed by the lifestyle of these only westernised town in Tanzania,it has it own way completely different from other towns like Dar es salaam,Mwanza,Mbeya and others,Arusha as it well known as A-town by locals has transformed itself from a local hub into international centre,for a long period of time A-town has stand as a transit corridor for tour safari's playing the great northern circuit tourism region of Tanzania.strategical these town is around 70km north west of the famous mountain Kilimanjaro and 30km from the new established Kilimanjaro International Airport,mountain Meru stands within the town outskirts like a fortress shielding the town on the immediately south east part,these mountain can be viewed at any angle of the town.
   As a transit corridor for safari's and local people these has made the town to be busy with a lot of hospitality services,there more than forty hotels around Arusha and many local guest houses and lodges within the town,any one transit in these beautiful tropical town with come across some of these hotels a long the town streets and these make it easier for one to check in and drive in for those offer drive in services.
There nice places to check in around and on the outskirts of the town,Greenland lodge is one of my favourite when in Arusha as i found it clean with nice hospitality,situated right after river duruma bridge few metres drive on the right corner lane,it has normals rates for both locals and international travellers.
The night life of A-night is similar like any other tourist destination,there quite a number of night clubs playing modern western songs,local swahili music and live bands,one will never get bored,there too restaurants mostly saving local foods and drinks.for most of transit people always tend to over stay and explore the culture of these town which is much different from the rest of Tanzania.
These town also host the headquarter of the East Africa Community which comprise of Tanzania,Uganda,Kenya,Rwanda,Burundi and South Sudan,these has made Arusha to be a centre of governments activities and a destination of conference tourism these is a part from it been a transit for tourist visiting near by game parks like ngorongoro,serengeti,mt meru and kilimanjaro national park.
Within the town locality there is a museum just beside the freedom monument,the museum host some historical tools used during the human revolution and items from the inhabitant communities mostly maasai,also there is a reptile park known as snake park is always open and it is one of place of interesting within these city.for backpackers too there is a centre and for mountain hiking mt meru provide the best site for hiking and for those loving cultural dancing the university of makumira some few kilometres on Arusha-Moshi highway provides the best entertainments ever with there dancing troops just next to the university grounds,guest are entertain in local Tanzania traditional dance ranging from coastal traditional songs to mainland ones.A-town as local known is a place worth to explore...

  So seductive and charming commercial centre with endless activities ranging from boat rides a long the Natal harbour to outdoor activities on the warm Indian ocean waters,Durban Natal is a destination not to be missed in tour adventure of these Mzanzi world.
  One has to seek for experience travel agent so to get the best plan for these sunny city as there a lot to be offered,with these variation of places for sure it lead to those visiting Durban to revisit it often,many of people attending business trips or conference activities or games tend to revisit these warmest climate city.it also has well organised shopping malls with best first class restaurants like MacDonald's,ocean basket and many others,while in these malls one has a lot of choices from red made stuffs to fashion clothing's.

Another best place of interest is the giant moses mabhida stadium,here there too same activities not to be missed while one pay a visit to these beautiful amazing stadium,the stadium stand tall that one can easily view it right from the beach front on the north side and also from part of the town high standing buildings.there lot of public transport going close by the stadium such that make it easier for visitors.
Durban city is also the heart of the Zulu kingdom,when your in these city you will come a cross a lot of Zulu speakers and common traditional food stuff like "phutu",on the beach front there lot of souvenirs small shops selling lot of local items like bungles,beach clothing and curios.a visitor will always have something to buy and carry home with,in terms of accommodation here in these warm city they offer the best suited places ranging from boutique hotels to five star accommodations,around the town there quite a number of lodges and hotels with good hospitality services.Durban natal is a warm city worth a visit it has a warm climate with best attractive destination within the city locality which makes it the most influential destination in sub Sahara Africa.

Africa is real a magical land where its not only human live but also animals and birds survive,one can imagine if its possible for over a million birds to be found in one place,yes its possible here in these great world destination of amazing attraction in Africa.
In the great eastern rift valley it is home to different water bodies from rivers,land scape,lakes and animals.some 164km drive from the Kenya capital city of #Nairobi,stands a town of Nakuru,it is surrounded with lakes around and famous wildlife parks like mara and lake Nakuru national park.within these park there stand lake Nakuru which is the home to over a million flamingo's and different kinds of birds and animals altogether.
    It is a spectacle world with endless view as the flamingo would always seen cover the shores of these lake,here they too feed on the algae found in the lake.for the lovers of birds then lake nakuru is a place to visit as its also inhabit with many other birds types,its simple the world of flamigo's where all the surrounding is dotted with flamingo's mostly the pink coloured ones with shine feathers.

The Tourist destination of Mombasa Island

  In the horn of Africa coastline along the shores of Indian ocean stands a historical trading center of Mombasa island,it was famous in its early Indian ocean ivory and hides trade as it boost a nice beach for dhows docking and shelter around its creeks.
  Traders as far as India,Turkey,China and Persian gulf used to sail to these island for trade in different commodities.
                                                                                         
                     
  As an early destination for such traders the island of Mombasa became a hot place for early settlers and explorers as far as the middle east,far east and southern European people,with these kind of new trend it lead to the scramble of controlling these island which was the gate way to India ocean early trade route and in 1590's the then rulers of these island built the famous land mark of fort Jesus,was built in a European fort style by Italian architect,the fort was built inform of person laying facing the ground with the head adjusting towards the shoreline.
                                                                     
   
  Today Fort Jesus boost as one of the interesting monuments in these sunny city of Mombasa,its one of world heritage site and a museum,the fort host lot of early history of Europeans along the Indian ocean east Africa coastline.
  Another site of interest is the old town and the old town harbour on the north side of the fort Jesus,old town boost old Arabic architect and Swahili architect,at the old harbour is where many trade takes places to date,boats still using the old harbour on the north side of the main Kilindini harbour.
                                                                         
     

  Macknon market is another building with lot of interest as it was build during early 1900's with its equipments imported from the United Kingdom.these is currently the centre of trade activities by the locals and mainly in food stuffs.

   The island host a lot of accommodation from simple lodges to luxury hotels with few distance from the town centre.there are hotels like Sapphire hotel and the Royal Court close to the railway station and Indian temples.the hotels are close to town at a walking distance,in town centre there is the famous Castle hotel which stand a long Moi Avenue,its  close to the Turks which stand as the symbol of Mombasa town.these are few hotels but there many around and easily access from the main airport located on the mainland west of Mombasa.
  South of the island is connected with twenty four hours ferry services which make it much easier for incoming and out going travellers through the channels to the south coast.
                                   
                                                                 
The inhabitant of these historical island are mostly Swahili's and some Bantu speakers,there notable European and Asians mostly from India who settle in Mombasa long time,in most of the town streets there many restaurants saving local dishes and some westernised food stuff.The night life of these island town is always funny as the town is saved with night clubs and bars in twenty four hours,here the local communities are very cooperative and always willingly to assist strangers.its worth to experience these formerly Indian ocean trade route centre,it boost warm weather and its in tropical climate.

"Experience the last Africa Monarch"

 Little is known about these only standing last Africa Monarch in Sub Sahara Africa today,many travellers tend to ignore these beautiful tiny kingdom of Swaziland due to luck of information or unknown reasons and for the few who have manage to visit these monarch will always have a story to tell about the richness of the culture of Swati people,as there well known to be one of the great Nguni tribes which comprise of the Zulu tribe,xhosa tribe and Ndembele tribes.
 Swaziland is the only monarch ruled nation in today Africa thus make these tiny Kingdom which is almost surrounded by South Africa to its south west and Mozambique on other part famous in Africa,its current ruled by the  polygamy King Mswati whom is well known for his charming selection of virgins young women annaully during the reeds dance or Umhlanga.
                                                           

The reed dance has became a tradition in these monarch where many virgins women will travell long distance to participate in these culture,its a great symbolic for the swati community especially when there young women preserve there virginity for these traditional ritual where one out of thousands virgins got a chance to be a princess,the King will always choose one out of all.

The virgins young women will cut the reeds in the near village where the ritual is perfomed around Ludzidzi,while the knife they used have to be carried later as a symbol of virginity,there is a believe that a non virgin woman can't carry these reeds and these is a high pride for all other virgins in these Africa community.

It is a destination which has money value for lovers of exploring the African deep cultural taboos,Here during the reed dance photographers have to zoom and zoom there cameras lences as there lot of scenes to shoot.these is something which happen once in a year thus one can program for it without stress,Swaziland is a small Kingdom and its has well equiped tourist accomodation like resorts,lodges and hotels,their to daily flights between South Africa city of Johhanesburg and Mbambane airport such that its easier to access the tiny cultural rich Monarch of King Mswati..

beside the beach line there swimming pool both for childrens and adults,the paved lanes offer nice space for bicycle riders and trainners,just on the few metres there piers which offer good view of the Ethwikweni Municipality City.


One of the pier on the south of the beach where it saved with Moyo restaurant overlook the port entrence offer nice scene for vessals playing Durban habour,onto the most south of these beach there is Ushaka Marine World which offers variaties of activities and host different kind of outlets ranging from restaurants to curious shops,there too diving shop and children play centre,these make it idle for family outings.


Its magical beach with lot to experience with beautiful scenes and water sports,the big indian ocean sea waves makes point beach idle for Surfers,its cool to relax a long the beach watching people Surfing in most of the afternoon hours where normal there is high tides also the beach is close to the entrence of the Durban Habour such that it boost a nice scene for out going and incoming vessals from the habour,for holiday markers there modern hotels next to the beach front with nice restaurants which offer different types of food and services.


One will never get bored in the beach front as there too some activites like Durban july and many people from other provinces will visit the beach for weekends and holidays,lot of tourist visit South Africa would love to see the beach and its worth to be paid a visit.close to the northen side one can view the gigantic Madiba stadium which also offers some activities and boost a lot of restaurants, for food lovers these is a good place for dinning.Durban city is also saved with King Shaka Zulu international airport which is a drive away from the point beach,these makes idle for visitors using the airport as transport systerm is safe and quick from the airport with the availlability of cabs,for those using Cruise ships which docks at the habour there only at walking distance from the habour to the beach front.

"Snow cupped mountain in tropical climate"

                                                     
 Little did the late missionary Johan Redmann knew he was laying a foundation of explorers and travellers towards these highest Africa mountain of Kilimanjaro and became the first traver of european descendant to explore mt Kilimanjaro in 1840's.
  When later the news spread about these mountain with snow cup in tropical climate it drew the attention of many travers and explorers which became a blessing to the locals and traders untill today where more than 20,000 people visit the mountain annually.
Mt Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa continent stand more than 5885m above the sea leval,its fomous summits are "Kibo" ,"Mawenzi" and "Shira",these mountain is on the northern tourist circut of Tanzania in East of Africa.
Before Redmann hard to trekk by foot all the way from the coastal of modern Kenya into hinter land with assistant from the locals which took him several weeks to rich the foot of the mountain.
Today visitors to the mountain can take advantage of modern advance transport systerm and its much simple and easier as one can fly to the nearest airport of Kilimanjaro international airport which is less than 50km from the mountain,from these point one can clearly see the mountain from the airport view,
Around these huge mountain there is a national park known as Kilimanjaro national park famous with wild animals,while in northwest of the mountain stand mt Meru some 70km.Also there are game reserves and parks within like Serengeti,Ngorongoro and Arusha national park.
 The inhabitant of these famous mountain are the chagga community who are mixed farmers and have reside around for quite longer period.other people also have migrated to live along with the chaggas,in the surrounding people practice some modern farming like tea plantation and sugar plantation.
 There some quite number of hotels and lodges around the established towns like Boma,Moshi,Marangu and Machame.the two trading centres of Marangu and Machame boost the two most used routes for mountain climbers,these two towns are immedietly situated on the foot of these giant mountan and can be easily acces via road from the Kilimanjaro international airport.
 Moshi is the administration centre of these region with well equiped facillities and saved with an airport,many lodges,hotels and backpackers accomodation.
 These magnificient mountain is worth to pay a visit and see the snow cupped mountain in tropical climate,the weather here its sunny most of the year and conservationist have to protect the environment so as our future generation can see these wonder of the world.

RIVER ZAMBEZI

"River of life" as well pegged by locals living along the banks of these Africa east ward flow river into the Indian Ocean.its a source of life for many locals residing along the river through farming and fishing activities on these fourth longest river in Africa after river Niger in west of Africa,river Congo in DRC Congo in central part of Africa and the famous river Nile which flow its water from the east of Africa to Egypt into the Meditereanian sea.
 Zambezi river is shared among six countries in sub sahara Africa countries of Angola,Namibia,Botswana,Zambia,Zimbwabwe and Mozambique.
 The famous Victoria falls also is found along the river together with one of the biggest man made dam the Kariba dam,which is one of the source of electricity in Zambia and Zimbwabwe respectively.another dam is Coborra dam found in Mozambique which also supply electricity to South Africa.
 There quite number of wild animals parks and lot of activities for tourist and locals attraction a long these famous river,some well establish towns like livingstone in Zambia is a good getway for tourist and travellers transiting and touring zambezi river.also there is livingstone international airport in southern Zambia province which make it easier for people to visit the river Zambezi .lots of modern hotels and lodges have been constructed close to the river and attraction areas and provide modern services such that its make a visitor to feel like home,the locals are friendly and always willingly to cooperate thus making Zambezi river area morer friendly.as one crossing the Kazungula ferry its easy to sport hippos swimming lazily in the quite waters of the river.these makes the river worth for a visit.
